DMCA Policy

1. Overview

Sechno ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy outlines how Sechno responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement and is intended to comply with the safe harbor provisions of the DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

2. Nature of Our Services

Sechno operates as a technical intermediary and tool provider. Our platform offers developer utilities, conversion tools, and technical interfaces that facilitate user-initiated access to publicly available content hosted on third-party platforms.

Sechno does not host, store, cache, transmit, reproduce, or distribute any audio, video, image, or other media files on its servers. All content accessed through our tools is retrieved in real time directly from the original third-party hosting platforms. Sechno has no control over, and takes no responsibility for, the content hosted on those external platforms.

3. User Responsibility

Users of Sechno's tools are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of our services complies with applicable copyright laws, the terms of service of any third-party platforms accessed, and all other relevant laws in their jurisdiction. Sechno expressly prohibits using its tools for any purpose that violates copyright law or any applicable terms of service. By using our tools, users represent and warrant that they have the legal right to access and use the content they interact with through our platform.

4. No Hosted Content — Takedown Limitations

Because Sechno does not host any media files, we are unable to remove content from third-party platforms. Copyright owners seeking removal of content from social media sites, video hosting services, or file storage providers must submit takedown requests directly to those platforms, as they are the entities that actually host the content.

5. DMCA Takedown Procedure

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof, and you believe in good faith that content accessible through a specific page or tool on Sechno infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notification must include all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  • Identification of the specific URL or material on Sechno that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail to allow us to locate it.
  • Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Incomplete notifications may not receive a response. Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including damages and attorneys' fees.

6. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. A valid counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Sechno may be found.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Sechno maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Sechno also reserves the right to restrict access to its tools at its sole discretion.

9. Modifications

Sechno reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
